P.B.I.S - Positive Behavior Intervention And Support
What is PBIS?
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based framework that helps schools create positive, safe, and supportive environments where all students can thrive. PBIS focuses on integrating data, systems, and practices to support the academic, social, and emotional success of every student.
PBIS is a long-term commitment to improving school culture and student outcomes. It promotes teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors, preventing problems before they happen, and responding to challenges in consistent and constructive ways. When implemented effectively, PBIS leads to stronger student relationships, improved academic and social outcomes, fewer disciplinary issues, and a more positive, connected school community for everyone.
